About The Position

Child Care Operations Manager- Are you a leader with the passion of working with children? As our Operations Manager, you will be instrumental in leading, supporting and weekly visits to center directors across multiple locations, ensuring consistent excellence in operational standards, licensing compliance, curriculums, and family engagement. POSITION PURPOSE This position is principally responsible for ensuring that all site Directors understand and carry out the objectives and expectations for their roles: including Classroom Development Directors, Health and Safety Coordinators, Teachers, Assistants, Aides, and any additional support staff. Of primary concern, is the promotion of and adherence to Parent Aware accreditation and State licensing requirements, as well as the internal policies of New Creations. Why New Creations? Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old and have a High School Diploma or GED, along with an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, however a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • Must be Teacher qualified under State Standards. Official transcripts of all post-secondary work required.
  • Must have a one-year minimum experience in an Early Childhood Education setting, along with the associating College degree/credits or CDA Credentials to teach in early childhood education.
  • Minimum of five years teaching experience with young children, and one-year management or leadership experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrates qualities of an effective leader including a genuine concern for others, excellent listening and problem-solving capabilities. Presents concerns in a thoughtful, balanced manner, compromises and/or in group situations seek consensus when appropriate.
  • Must complete a background check and fingerprints shall determine that the applicant has not been “convicted of a felony... has no criminal record that the commissioner reasonably believes renders the person unsuitable to be employed in a child care center.”
  • Certification in Adult and Pediatric First Aid & CPR completed within 30 days of employment.
  • Extensive standing and walking; sitting on the floor and on low (12”) chairs.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling.
  • Lifting and carrying children extensively in the infant/toddler program; less frequently in the preschool program, but the children are heavier.
  • Frequent moving of equipment (cots, tables, etc.).
  • Pushing children in buggies, strollers, and walking for considerable periods.
  • The necessity of being outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Exposure to unpleasant odors and fluids caused by vomit (occasional) and bodily elimination.
  • Relatively frequent exposure to loud noises (baby crying, toys falling and other common occurrences of children at play).

Responsibilities

  • Building relationships with families, center employees, and leadership to ensure people are seen, heard and valued.
  • Leading financial accountability support with forecasting support and accountability of enrollment, budgets, labor, payroll, etc.
  • Guiding Site Directors with creating quality environment experiences at all centers to ensure families and employees receive the red carpet experience.
  • Championing educational excellence by supporting the Site Directors to meet and exceed the educational standards of New Creations, Accreditation, and our families.
  • Supporting Site Directors and their employees with professional knowledge of State licensing to ensure all centers meet and exceed the standards of New Creations and the State.
  • Acting as a liaison between Site Directors and all operational and corporate lanes of the company (finance, enrollment, staffing, etc.) with the approach of “I am not 100% sure of the answer, but I will get the answer for you” and providing timely feedback and support.
  • Partnering with Site Directors and appropriate leaders to ensure the physical environment is fun, safe, and maintained well for families and employees.
  • Strategizing succession plans in partnership with the Hiring Department and leadership for all centers based on center growth and talent development projections.
  • Review task completion and accuracy to ensure any newly hired Site Director has gained competency in the execution of the tasks assigned by providing guidance and accountability.
  • Weekly site visit to each New Creations Locations- Blaine, Blaine at Lexington, Hugo, Lino Lake, Maple Grove, and Riverdale
