About The Position

Western Digital is seeking a recent or upcoming college graduate to join our HDD Supply Planning team as an Demand Supply Planner. The ideal candidate will enter the company with a solid foundation in supply chain management and data analytics, along with relevant internship/work experience. Duties that a Early Career Talent teammate joining this team can expect to gain experience in, and eventually take ownership of, include but are not limited to: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Creating weekly-monthly-quarterly demand signals for operations team to source and build HDD Collaborating with Sales, Business Unit and Account Management teams to align supply with Customer demand Drive strategic discussions with the BU to align on inventory staging and trade-off opportunities Communicate critical demand changes with Factory teams proactively and work to optimize capacity as much as possible Work closely with Product Managers for End-Of-Life planning and new product transitions while minimizing inventory exposure Publish daily demand supply reports for customer commits Monitor forecasted demand vs, actual consumption and provide input to prioritize factory schedules Driving continuous process area improvements Support in UAT efforts while company implements a New Advanced Planning system

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or related major with graduation date between December 2024-December 2025.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, other data analytics and data visualization skillsets are a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and relational skills, with the ability to quickly develop relationships of trust and confidence with a variety of people and personalities, at all levels within an organization
  • Self-motivated with the ability to effectively multi-task and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Strong active listening skills with the ability to ask thoughtful and probing questions to determine client needs
  • Ability to make clear, logical decisions based on facts, taking into consideration the big picture, long and short-term effects, and exercising sound judgment when handling complaints, confidential and sensitive issues
  • Demonstrate ability to deliver consistent positive results through influencing, coordinating, and managing the efforts of others

Responsibilities
