About The Position

WSP is currently initiating a search for a full-time Early Career Structural
Engineer for our New England district. This position is open to our Boston, MA
office.

YOUR IMPACT

Bridge and Structure Design, Rehabilitation / Repair / Retrofit of Bridges
and other structures
CAD experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
Structural Analysis using commercial software programs
Evaluation of Existing Structures including Load Ratings (AASHTOWare BrR)
Assistance in the preparation of Quantity Estimates, Specifications, Review
of Shop Drawings
Preparation of Reports and Participation in Field Work

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or closely related discipline.
• 0 to 3 years of relevant post education experience
• Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products
• EIT/FE Certification

Nice To Haves

• Master's graduate program is a plus
• Working knowledge of CTDOT, MassDOT, MBTA, RIDOT, NHDOT, MaineDOT and/or VTrans requirements and standards
• Focus on structural analysis/design courses preferred
• Familiarity with commercial drafting and analysis programs preferred
