About The Position

The Program Specialist is responsible for managing and implementing various programs, projects, and activities within the entity. This role includes oversight of program/project budgets, providing support to project Chairs, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies. The Program Specialist serves as the main point of contact for projects, coordinating with internal and external partners, and supervising staff as needed.

Requirements

  • Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and at least three years' experience; OR a high school diploma or GED with at least five years' relevant professional experience.
  • Intermediate level proficiency with MS Office suite.
  • Management and/or supervisory experience, preferably in an association or non-profit setting.
  • Analytical problem-solving ability, and programmatic and policy development experience.
  • Prior experience overseeing budgets and planning meetings is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in fundraising is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and implement programs, projects, and activities of the entity.
  • Oversee program/project budgets and ensure compliance with ABA policies.
  • Provide support and direction to project Chairs.
  • Plan projects, oversee budgets, and ensure successful execution of programs/projects.
  • Advise member leaders on strategy and procedures, analyzing opportunities and risks.
  • Serve as the principal point of contact for projects, both internally and externally.
  • Initiate regular communications with member leaders and staff, reporting on progress and results.
  • Coordinate with other entities on joint projects and seek internal and external partners.
  • Solicit and manage sponsorship revenue as needed.
  • Supervise one or more staff members, including recruitment, orientation, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
  • Travel for Law Student Division Competitions and coordinate with the Meetings and Travel Department.
