About The Position

The Sales Development Program at Allegion is a comprehensive 12-month rotational training and development initiative designed for individuals with no prior experience in selling or security hardware. This program aims to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the dynamic field of door hardware and security products. Throughout the program, participants will engage in a diverse mix of learning environments, including classroom instruction, fieldwork, office tasks, and factory visits, allowing them to gain a well-rounded understanding of consultative selling and Allegion's product offerings. The program is set to commence in June 2024, and upon completion, participants will transition into full-time sales roles within the organization. During the first phase of the program, participants will undergo a three-month product and industry training module at Allegion's Training Facility in Denver, Colorado. This immersive experience will involve learning from industry experts alongside fellow program participants, with Allegion providing corporate housing and temporary transportation for those involved. Following this, participants will engage in a two-month rotation with corporate sponsors from various non-regional sales teams, where they will complete assigned projects and present their findings. Concurrently, they will participate in an eight-week virtual training focused on enhancing their sales skills. The final phase of the program consists of a seven-month field training rotation, where participants will gain hands-on experience with Allegion's field selling teams. This on-the-job training will include coordinating and conducting joint sales calls within assigned territories, representing Allegion at local security tradeshows, and building relationships with key decision-makers in the industry. Participants will also attend factory training sessions and additional product training to deepen their understanding of Allegion's offerings. Throughout the program, individuals will learn to utilize various Allegion tools and resources, such as Dynamics CRM and PowerBI data analytics, to effectively manage project information and maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
