This Opportunity WSP is currently seeking an Early Career Project Controls Specialist to join our Project Controls team. This individual will report to our client’s office in Amarillo, TX (Hybrid 2-4 times per week). Employees may travel to a WSP office ( Fort Worth, TX ) for periodic meetings. Your Impact Under general supervision, assist with collecting, organizing, and analyzing project controls data from schedules, cost reports, work breakdown structures, change management logs, risk registers, forecasts, and other project documentation to support planning, execution, and performance tracking. Assist with performing basic project controls functions including schedule updates, cost monitoring, earned value analysis, and reporting to ensure project objectives are achieved according to established standards, procedures, and client requirements. Perform routine schedule and cost-control tasks while providing entry-level technical assistance on developing and maintaining project baselines, identifying variances, and supporting mitigation strategies to help keep projects on track. Assist with verifying project progress, updating documentation, and providing basic analytical support on schedule performance, resource allocations, project risks, contract compliance, and reporting requirements consistent with industry best practices and organizational guidelines. Generate complete, accurate, and concise documentation, spreadsheets, charts, dashboards, and reports to support weekly and monthly project controls reporting cycles. Work with cross-functional project teams—including project managers, engineers, construction personnel, and finance groups—to support the execution and delivery of project work. Comply with safety, contractual, and project-specific guidelines which include but are not limited to data accuracy, records retention, auditing requirements, and reporting standards. Complete all required training related to project controls systems, tools, and internal procedures. Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
