This Opportunity Our Earth & Environment Team is seeking a full-time Early Career Mineral Processing Engineer to work out of our Lakewood, CO, South Jordan, Utah, or Tucson, Arizona office locations. Tasks may include basic assistance with process development, research, design, analysis, concept development, and construction of mineral processing plants for the recovery of various commodities including copper and other base metals, gold, silver, diamond, potash, phosphate, iron ore, REE, critical and other industrial minerals. Generates accurate and concise documentation regarding assigned aspects of the project. Ensures that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for design, safety, and functionality. Your Impact Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal of developing technical, social, and ethical skills. Assist with project research, and preliminary design calculations and analysis. Support preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates. Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation. Complete training on assigned tasks. Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with position. Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
