Requirements

  • Prior field experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, or Earth Sciences or a related field.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office 365 Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to assertively direct others in the field such as subcontracted drillers, excavation contractors, utility locators, and others to consistently complete tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical work hours.
  • Ability to analyze data and apply problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn and complete basic reporting and paperwork tasks.
  • Knowledge of appropriate state regulations, including appropriate health and safety regulations required to perform typical field and office tasks.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform field work and a wide range of physical activities, including sustained walking, standing, and reaching, in an outdoor environment.
  • Must be able to wear respiratory protection and pass baseline physical for job position.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR 1910.120).
  • Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training.

Responsibilities

  • Collecting samples of soil, groundwater, and other environmental media in support of site investigation and remediation objectives.
  • Installing monitoring wells, performing remediation monitoring, and overseeing contractors.
  • Assisting in preparing various regulatory submittals, technical memorandums, and/or engineering design reports.
  • Managing, analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting data for use in reports and other visualizations, including maps, charts, and 3D models.
  • Travel to job sites is required to support ongoing and potential project work activities.
