WSP is currently initiating a search for a full-time Early Career Geological Engineer for their New York, NY office. From this location, the Geotechnical and Tunnelling team provides engineering and geological services for projects located throughout the United States. This junior level position offers an opportunity to join a fast-paced team focused on enhancing their geological field team, working on subsurface investigations throughout the country, as well as performing office-related work. Office tasks include assisting the Project Geologist with Subsurface Investigation Program preparation, geologic profiles, Geotechnical Data Reports, Geotechnical Baseline Reports, and Geotechnical Interpretive Reports. The role may require up to 75 percent of the time spent in the field. The selected candidate must be comfortable working in the field, independently or with a team, supervising subcontractors, and logging and classifying soil and rock for subsurface investigation programs. Additionally, the role involves working in an office environment, analyzing collected geologic field data, laboratory data, and/or historical data.
