About The Position

WSP is currently initiating a search for an Early Career Civil Engineer for our Boise, Idaho office. Be involved in projects with our Facilities Civil/Structural Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients’ objectives and solves their challenges. Our group specializes in high-performing projects with a focus on the future in food and beverage, Federal projects, and industrial facility design. Our goal is to deliver excellent projects hand-in-hand with a positive experience for our clients and our communities alike. You’ll be asked to help with grading and drainage design for new building sites, remodels, and additions as well as provide utility delivery, access road design, permitting and construction support. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of transmission line design for new lines, relocations, upgrades, and fiber optic additions. Requirements

• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
• BSCE (Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering) degree from an accredited university
• Candidate should have 0-1 years of experience and be able to perform work requiring independent judgement, adaptation/modification of engineering principles, procedures, and code requirements
• EIT license required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
• Must be effective in prioritizing and setting deadlines, while also adapting to change
• Must be adaptable, able to problem solve, and able to learn and apply new technologies with support
• The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good oral and written communication skills in order to work effectively
• Demonstrated ability to self-manage and produce results
• Ability to maintain and develop relationships with both existing and potential clients and recognize their needs, respond to and build on responsibilities accordingly

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil3D or Microstation Inroads
• Ideal coursework includes hydrology, fluid mechanics, soil mechanics, foundational design and surveying
• Previous internship or drafting work experience related to civil and/or civil engineering
