About The Position

Serves as an adjunct instructor for the Early Care and Education Program. Classes taught can and may include: Introduction to Early Childhood Education, Growth and Development, Language Arts, Creative Experiences, Health, Safety, Nutrition, Education, School-Age, Youth Development, and other education coursework. The schedule includes day and/or evening classes, face-to-face, online, hybrid, or SOM (Synchronous Online Learning). Course location may include: Thornley, Palmer, Mt. Pleasant, or Dorchester Campus during the Fall, Spring, and Summer Semesters.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field
• Minimum of 18 credit hours in Early Childhood Education
• Completion of the online SC State Jobs Employment Application
• Submission of unofficial transcripts with application

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in the Early Care and Education Program
• Prepare course materials and syllabi
• Assess student performance and provide feedback
• Engage with students in various learning environments (face-to-face, online, hybrid)
• Maintain communication with students and faculty
