About The Position

The EAP Clinical Counselor at Workplace Options is responsible for providing telephonic and video counseling to clients, offering emotional support and crisis management in a professional and ethical manner. This role emphasizes the importance of creating a connection with clients to ensure they feel heard and supported. Counselors will engage with a diverse range of clients, addressing unique challenges and developing treatment plans tailored to individual needs.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology.
• Minimum of 2 years of direct client-contact providing counseling or mental health services.
• Experience providing assessments and/or using clinical assessment tools.
• Experience using short-term counseling modalities such as Solution-Focused, CBT, Mindfulness, and Integrative counseling.
• Training in crisis intervention and supporting high-risk clients.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with clients presenting with substance abuse issues.
• Ability to handle family or relationship-related concerns impacting personal or work performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide single session telephonic and video counseling, in-the-moment support, and crisis telephonic management.
• Assess clients thoroughly to ensure appropriateness for short-term counseling.
• Manage high-risk calls and work closely with individuals at risk.
• Refer clients to external resources or within WPO as part of a holistic approach.
• Collaboratively develop clear and concise treatment plans for clients.
• Maintain clear clinical and task-oriented documentation in the case management system.
• Perform any additional tasks pertinent to the position as deemed appropriate by management.
