About The Position

PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Inventory & EAM Data Specialist maintains inventory control processes and procedures to ensure warehouse asset inventory accuracy is compliant with company procedures, policies, guidelines and legal requirements and meets customer expectations. This role utilizes the EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) System to ensure both system accuracy and system utilization are in line with company expectations, documents system changes and updates processes and provides training to Complex personnel on changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree in Procurement or other relevant discipline
  • Education and experience may be substituted for degree
  • Minimum five (5) years MRO parts or data management role; applicable experience in the poultry or protein or other food manufacturing industry preferred
  • Experience in parts information, inventory control and/or purchasing related role with emphasis on MRO goods and materials preferred
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge with MRO goods and materials categories and computerized asset management/spare parts Master Data system information set-up
  • Ability to use PC, Microsoft Office applications, Excel spreadsheet analytics and other database applications to manage data and create reports
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to create and present training data in a manner that an audience can understand
  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate, both verbal and written, using detailed written reports and narratives, with internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize
  • Ability to work effectively with others, possessing tact and discretion and demonstrate a high level of confidentiality in all matters
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and prioritize work accordingly
  • Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
  • Wear required protective equipment in all areas where mandatory
  • Ability to remain stationary for periods of time
  • Travel periodically to locations

Nice To Haves

  • Inventory Management Professional Certification (CPIM, CSCP) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Plant Purchasing and Maintenance teams to proactively identify fill rate and excess inventory issues, and execute respective corrective actions as needed
  • Set-up and maintain EAM system master data, acting as subject matter expert (SME) for system questions, training, etc.; partner with locations to resolve issues and reoccurring errors
  • Collaborate with others to complete new item set-up and maintenance of information to ensure first-time accuracy
  • Monitor EAM system transactions for policy compliance and accuracy notifying user of non-compliance
  • Conduct monthly and/or quarterly Inventory Accuracy Data Reviews, auditing count against system data for accuracy for internal/external customer(s)
  • Partner with Purchasing to align inventory system controls (EOQ, min/max, safety stock) with business objectives; analyze and communicate impact of proposed changes
  • Partner with Complexes to ensure inventory is ordered as needed including researching other locations and transferring needed parts if available
  • Audit inventory records, identify obsolete parts and disposition appropriately
  • Audit EAM system transactions/usage, train maintenance personnel on the EAM system ensuring inventory is correctly tracked and flows through system as designed
  • Perform additional relevant duties as assigned
