Position Summary After completing 24 total hours of professional development training, E2E participants are placed at either a YMCA or non-YMCA work site for 300 hours. Participants typically perform administrative, light construction, or childcare duties. Schedule and duties to be determined by E2E staff and employment partner. Urban Services YMCA will remain the employer of record for the duration of the 300-hour placement.

Requirements

  • Must be between 18 and 24 years old
  • Good communication skills
  • YMCA approved First Aid and CPR (can complete upon hire)

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin or other languages.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude that supports personal growth, teamwork, and the success of the E2E program.
  • Always follow the YMCA’s and employment sponsor’s code of conduct.
  • Adhere to group agreements established during the initial training session.
  • Fulfill all job duties outlined in your placement job description and comply with the rules, regulations, and expectations set by your employment sponsor.
  • Attend weekly professional development meetings during your placement (approximately 1 hour per meeting; schedule to be determined).
  • Accurately maintain and submit timesheets on a weekly basis, including obtaining comments and signatures from your supervisor.
