About The Position

The eXplore Tires Manufacturing Graduate Trainee program is designed for recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in tire production and engineering. This 18-month program consists of two main phases: practical experience in a production setting followed by a central placement where graduates collaborate on projects and gain insights into the tire development process and the global business model of Continental.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Project Management Experience.
• At least 2 months of international internship/study abroad or working in a multicultural team.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Introduction to technologies and machines in PLT/CVT Plant with department rotation.
• Gain in-depth operational knowledge about production processes, Rubber Technologies, Material's flow, and Components.
• Complete 4 months of shopfloor experience including shift work.
• Engage in Manufacturing/Engineering projects within the plant.
• Rotate to other departments to understand inter-departmental collaboration.
• Establish and maintain a network throughout the plant.
• Participate in central projects related to Manufacturing/Engineering, R&D, and business perspectives.
• Fulfill a central training plan to gain technical knowledge and competencies in manufacturing processes.
• Spend 1-2 months in one of Continental's Marketing & Sales organizations to understand M&S Strategy.
• Work directly with sales in a tire shop and during customer visits.
• Ensure implementation of ESH responsibilities and duties, and initiate preventive measures for safety hazards.
