About The Position

Clean Harbors located in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking to add E-Waste Facility Technicians to the team . The Technicians will be responsible for completing all assigned warehouse duties in a safe and responsible manner. This includes loading / unloading trucks, preparing waste shipments, reconciling inventory, general housekeeping, and compliance with waste storage. This position is going to be working in our new E-waste facility dealing with electronic waste disposal and dismantling, computers etc. Shift: 7:00am- 3:30pm; Day shift, Mon-Fri. OT and Saturdays as needed. Pay: $20-23 DOE Why work for Clean Harbors? Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required
  • Use of hand tools and mechanical aptitude required
  • Experience and familiarity with Excel, Word, etc
  • 1 plus years of related labor and computer experience preferred
  • Ability to drive trucks within facility

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with E-waste preferred but not required
  • Forklift skills preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
  • Load and unload route trucks
  • Dismantle electronic waste to get it ready for all stages of recycling
  • Prepare waste loads for shipment to Recycle Center/Distribution Center
  • Manage inventory order and receiving process
  • General housekeeping and keeping a clean work area
  • Ensure waste is stored in safe and proper manner
