About The Position

Amwins is seeking qualified candidates for a Production Underwriter position for our nationwide E&S Binding Authority Commercial and Personal Lines Insurance division, Amwins Access. Each Underwriter is a vital member of our teams, providing the opportunity to successfully create and manage a profitable book of new and renewal business. The role involves prospecting for new business by developing relationships with retail agents through both traditional and creative marketing strategies, remaining up to date with new insurance companies' offers, and mentoring and training new team members.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of E&S binding authority experience
• Knowledge of the sales process and pipeline management
• Ability to travel
• Licensed preferred

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree not required but preferred

Responsibilities

• Successfully create and manage a profitable book of new and renewal business
• Prospect for new business by developing relationships with retail agents through both traditional and creative marketing strategies
• Remain up to date with new insurance companies' offers and how to leverage them
• Prospect for new business markets and/or lines to write with sales techniques based in trust and relationship building
• Mentor and train new team members
