We are looking for an E&I Technician for our Rockland site. The E&I Technician is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. This role plays a critical part in minimizing downtime and supporting continuous improvement initiatives by applying technical expertise across a range of equipment and control systems.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or High school equivalent (HSE) including GED and Maine HiSET
  • Basic math skills and computer skills
  • Wrench time (hands-on tool engagement and productivity)

Nice To Haves

  • 1–3 years of electrical experience, ideally supported by a two-year trade or technical college degree
  • Experience in a manufacturing or chemical production environment
  • Strong problem-solving, conflict management, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and act with urgency
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and continuous improvement
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills with a team-oriented mindset
  • Professional demeanor and presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Support your team in making deliberate improvements in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) as well as housekeeping performance.
  • Ensure 100% compliance of assigned EHS requirements, process safety, food safety, and quality standards. As well as executing required preventative, autonomous maintenance and equipment sanitation work practices.
  • Safe completion of life critical activities in production areas including development and execution of lock, tag, try procedures (LTT).
  • Identify and implement improvements in systems, processes, and personal development and as assigned by department and/or shift Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
  • Ensure all training requirements are met within the specified time frames and training other personnel as required by Team Leader, Supervisor or Manager.
  • Ensure preventative, autonomous maintenance and equipment sanitation work practices are executed as required by department
  • Performs maintenance and repair of site’s electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Performs work order tasks and supports work order flow through MMIS
  • Performs troubleshooting of site’s electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Supports scoping and planning of work orders
  • Follows parts procurement procedures
  • Supports updating and documentation of equipment BOMs and PMs
