About The Position

General Description: E&I Maintenance Technicians are responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of all equipment in their areas of responsibility. They will make recommendations to the Maintenance Team or any corrective measures that will result in greater efficiency, quality and economy of operations. During capital projects, they may be called on for consultation, inspection or to assist in the selection and installation of new equipment.

Requirements

• Two-year technical degree in Electronics/Instrumentation with 3 years practical experience or commensurate practical experience with high school diploma or GED.
• Maximum entry rate is $23.13 - $34.05 p/hr . However, the actual rate will be based on the position title obtained as validated from skills, competencies and specific requirements possessed.

Responsibilities

• Carry out new installations, repairs, preventative maintenance, calibration, testing, certification, documentation, and housekeeping of the work area.
• Follow Safe Work Permits instructions and fill in information required on the SWP concurrent with performing the specified operations.
• Keep his/her Foreman informed of the status of work.
• Inform the Foreman promptly of problems or unusual circumstances encountered during the work, and of completion of the work.
• Inform the Foreman promptly of conditions that prevent performance of the work as described on the work order or which cause substantial change in the work scope
