Additional information about the company can be found online at www.bwpipelines.com. We are currently looking for an E&I Specialist/ Sr E&I Specialist for our Benton, KY office. POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for the Electrical Instrumentation and Operation and Maintenance of all pipeline assets in Calvert City, KY District. Individuals will be required to operate the Station including Reciprocating engine horsepower, Aux equipment and other equipment in the Calvert City, KY District, as well as other assigned work. Required to learn all station functions proficiently also be required to take the lead on jobs and direct the actions of others. Will be expected to participate in the On-Call duties of the Area and respond to “callouts”. Shall demonstrate an ongoing proficiency in Leadership and Interpersonal Skills. Responsibilities also include compliance documentation for assigned area and the successful completion of all the Operator Qualification tasks assigned Specifically for this position. This position will be located at our Calvert City, KY Compressor Station and will operate in a scheduled rotation. Normal work hours for this position are 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. weekdays; however, this position is subject to occasional call-out and schedule adjustments, as necessary. This position's primary area of responsibility will be at our Calvert City, KY Compressor Station and successful candidates will be required to reside within 30 miles of this facility.

Requirements

  • Individual must have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of personnel, as well as strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills and a strong ability for prioritizing and scheduling multiple tasks.
  • Experience with Microsoft programs as well as the ability to follow company procedures and manufacture’s guidelines.
  • Physical requirements of the role include the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 ft. in order to transfer tools and equipment, the ability to operate valve control wheels with a minimum of 50 turns, and the ability to work alone as required in extreme weather conditions including hot, cold, muddy and wet environments.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record is required and the ability to operate an all-terrain vehicle.
  • Must have strong commitment to safety
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
