About the position

The E-Commerce Merchandising Coordinator will manage the Shopify platform for a leading online luxury home goods gift box company. This role combines technical e-commerce management with creative content development to enhance the online shopping experience, optimize product visibility, and drive sales through effective merchandising strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and merchandise across the site and various business platforms daily.
  • Review data analytics to optimize online aspects of the brand and determine merchandising strategy.
  • Present weekly reports to the team on weekly best/worst sellers.
  • Look for opportunities to improve product pages through enhanced attributes and user experience.
  • Assess weekly inventory and partners to ensure order fulfillment and address inventory issues.
  • Appraise competitor websites to align the brand with industry standards.
  • Direct and execute cross-selling and up-selling strategies for website items.
  • Analyze web data to understand traffic and customer interaction with site content.
  • Identify opportunities for growth by category based on market trends and historical performance.
  • Create category-specific merchandising strategies to drive product discoverability.
  • Develop and recommend changes to online category strategy based on insights and analysis of KPIs.
  • Examine and optimize merchandising strategies based on competitive landscape best practices.
  • Research new online solutions and capabilities to improve the online experience.
  • Fill out PDP information on product descriptions and SEO copy.
  • Monitor and repair QC issues on the site and keep the team updated.
  • Partner with Digital Marketing Agency to identify search word trends.
  • Merchandise product categories based on newsletters and coordinate with the Creative Director.
  • Manage and maintain social shop catalogue and merchandise collections for Instagram.
  • Assist with on-site execution of marketing initiatives and the marketing calendar.
  • Coordinate e-com exclusive flat photography with Collection Merchandiser.
  • Create directives for monthly photoshoots and assist the Art Director.

Requirements

  • Must have Shopify experience
  • 2-3+ years of experience in e-commerce merchandising
  • Extensive experience working with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics
  • Demonstrable experience using Shopify
  • Data-driven with a focus on conversion rate and tracking customer flow through the site
  • Experience with major online platforms and their ecosystems
  • SEO experience preferred
  • Analytical and process-oriented to make data-driven decisions

Benefits

  • Salary range of $75,000/year - $80,000/year
