About The Position

The E-commerce Hub Associate at Sun & Ski Sports is responsible for managing the flow of merchandise from vendors to the distribution center, ensuring accurate processing, and maintaining effective communication with various teams. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to enhancing the customer experience through efficient warehouse operations.

Requirements

  • Experience in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution center environment.
  • Experience working with corporate merchandising, retail store operations, and third-party providers.
  • High level understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), EDI, and Enterprise systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, MS Outlook, and handheld data collection equipment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Organized leader capable of achieving efficient and effective results.
  • Ability to generate and analyze management reports for intra-department use.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in process development and troubleshooting within warehouse systems.
  • Knowledge of freight and parcel company programs.

Responsibilities

  • Process all merchandise coming into the building from vendors accurately and promptly.
  • Check, verify, and audit merchandise to ensure that ordered items are received and in good condition.
  • Identify, separate, label, and palletize merchandise for relocation within the Distribution Center.
  • Record receiving, packing, and shipping data using a handheld device.
  • Enter PO Numbers and FB Numbers into the AS400 system and maintain accurate paperwork.
  • Pick eCommerce orders using a paper-based pick system.
  • Process customer returns in a timely manner for credit.
  • Use RF scanner for 'put away' of customer returns.
  • Maintain strong communication with Distribution Center management and eCommerce Support Team.
  • Resolve warehouse concerns and trouble shipments by collaborating with the Buying Team and Vendors.
  • Cross-train in multiple DC/Warehouse stations as needed.
  • Research inventory discrepancies and act as a liaison between DC Operations and Store Ops/Accounts Payable.
  • Correct concealed carton inventory discrepancies and manage daily unloading and receipt processing.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the receiving area, including shipping and processing.
  • Complete all required paperwork and logs accurately.
  • Strive to improve and streamline processes while ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Identify problems and opportunities, presenting viable solutions.
  • Minimize inventory loss through effective loss prevention strategies.
  • Utilize manual pallet jack to move pallets into proper staging areas.
