The E-commerce Hub Associate at Sun & Ski Sports plays a crucial role in the efficient management of merchandise within the distribution center. This position is responsible for overseeing the entire process from receiving merchandise from vendors to shipping it out to customers. The associate will ensure that all incoming products are checked, verified, and audited to confirm that they match the orders placed, and that they are free from damage or defects. This involves identifying, separating, labeling, and palletizing merchandise to facilitate its relocation within the distribution center. The associate will also be tasked with recording all relevant data related to receiving, packing, and shipping using handheld devices, and entering necessary information into the AS400 system. In addition to these responsibilities, the E-commerce Hub Associate will pick eCommerce orders using a paper-based system and process customer returns efficiently to ensure timely credits. Strong communication with the Distribution Center management team and the eCommerce Support Team is essential for resolving any warehouse concerns or trouble shipments from vendors. The associate will also be expected to cross-train in various DC/Warehouse stations to provide assistance as needed, and to research and correct any inventory discrepancies that may arise. Maintaining a safe working environment and striving for continuous improvement in processes are also key aspects of this role. The associate will utilize manual pallet jacks to move pallets into proper staging areas and will be involved in loss prevention efforts to minimize inventory loss.
