About The Position

Our client is a performance-driven retention marketing agency focused on helping e-commerce brands increase customer lifetime value. They deliver end-to-end retention solutions, including strategy, creative execution, copywriting, and marketing automation. The team operates in a highly collaborative, results-oriented environment with a strong emphasis on data and measurable outcomes. The E-commerce Copywriter will be responsible for creating high-converting email and SMS copy that supports customer retention and repeat revenue growth. This role requires a balance of creative execution and analytical thinking, with close collaboration across marketing and design teams. The ideal candidate understands how copy directly impacts engagement, conversions, and long-term customer loyalty.

Requirements

  • 2 to 3+ years of copywriting experience with a strong focus on e-commerce
  • Proven experience writing email and SMS campaigns for retention or lifecycle marketing
  • Strong understanding of conversion-focused copywriting principles
  • Proficiency with tools such as Asana, Google Docs, and Slack
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Comfortable collaborating with distributed, cross-functional teams
  • Has hands-on experience with e-commerce retention strategies
  • Understands best practices for email marketing, SMS campaigns, and lifecycle messaging
  • Brings a balance of creativity and performance-driven thinking
  • Is proactive, adaptable, and comfortable iterating based on data and feedback

Responsibilities

  • Email and SMS Campaign Execution Write compelling, conversion-focused copy for email and SMS campaigns aligned with e-commerce retention strategic
  • Develop strong subject lines, CTAs, and messaging frameworks that drive engagement and revenue
  • Collaborate with marketing and design teams to ensure copy aligns with brand voice and campaign objectives
  • Content Strategy and Optimization Maintain a consistent brand voice across all retention and lifecycle channels
  • Customize messaging for segmented audiences to improve relevance and personalization
  • Participate in A/B testing initiatives to improve open rates, click-through rates, and overall campaign performance
  • Campaign Performance and Iteration Review performance metrics such as open rates, click rates, and conversions
  • Make data-driven adjustments to copy based on campaign results
  • Translate insights into actionable copy improvements
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with designers to ensure copy and visuals complement each other
  • Support broader marketing efforts through landing page copy, product descriptions, and additional e-commerce content as needed
