E-Commerce Backend Developer

About The Position

Objective We’re looking for a skilled Backend Developer who’s as passionate about fitness as they are about writing clean, efficient code. In this role, you’ll design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications that power innovative digital fitness experiences. The ideal candidate not only has strong technical expertise in building RESTful APIs and working with databases but also shares our enthusiasm for improving health, performance, and wellness through technology. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that help athletes and fitness enthusiasts around the world reach their goals. Key Responsibilities Develop, test, and maintain server-side applications using Node.js Design and implement APIs, cron jobs, and services Integrate data storage solutions such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and designers Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience Proven experience as a Node.js Developer or similar backend role (3+ years) Strong understanding of Typescript and design patterns Experience with Node.js frameworks (Express.js, NestJS, Fastify, etc.) Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases Familiarity with RESTful API design principles Experience working with microservice architecture Experience with RabbitMQ or other message queueing solutions Knowledge of version control systems (Git) Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Chai) By applying to Rogue, regardless of the platform you choose to use, you are agreeing to Rogue's preferred methods of communication (i.e. text message).
