About The Position

The E-Coat Operator is responsible for the efficient operation of the electro-coating system. Other required tasks include daily chemistry of bath checks, ensuring correct parameters are aligned with material running into the system, identifying and correcting faults, and starting up and shutting down the system.

Requirements

• Basic PC/PLC and electronic controls knowledge.
• Moderate computer, math, and reading skills.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to a changing environment and processes.
• Must be able to follow established methods and procedures and perform work accordingly.
• Ability to communicate with leadership and fellow team members in both written and verbal forms at a level above standard.
• Must be team oriented.
• Ability to work independently.

Nice To Haves

• Three years' experience in automotive manufacturing (preferably in an e-coat department).
• D Licensed wastewater operator or better.
• High School Diploma/GED or certification program in equivalent field.

Responsibilities

• Full operation of the E-Coat system, including HMI screen functions to meet production requirements.
• Process unibodies and doors through the buffer, pre-treatment, e-coat, and rinse tanks.
• Starting/stopping ovens, motors, etc.
• Perform some electrical, mechanical, and programming troubleshooting.
• Check, sample, test, and record information and adjust the chemical baths within the e-coat system.
