About The Position

The E&C Technician is responsible for the safe troubleshooting, installation, repair, and operation of mechanical, electrical, and instrument equipment. The role requires understanding accepted troubleshooting guidelines for PLC, control valves, and all PLC logic, as well as maintaining sufficient inventory of electrical supplies and repair parts. The technician will also be responsible for keeping the company vehicle clean and organized, reporting unsafe practices, and maintaining open communication with supervisors and other employees. The position involves working with project managers, engineering, and contractors on new construction projects, maintaining controls, monitoring alarms, and conducting sensor tests. The technician will troubleshoot and schedule electrical maintenance, possess a solid understanding of electrical motor control, and be capable of making appropriate red-line changes to electrical prints. Additionally, the technician will assist PLC programming personnel and supervise electrical contractors.

Requirements

  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • General knowledge of compressor stations, gathering system, and processing plant operations.
  • Valid operating license with acceptable driving record under company insurers.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer orientation.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals).
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out day-to-day operation issues.
  • Ability to make quick and reasonable decisions in sometimes adverse conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyman electrician.
  • Maximo or other Enterprise Asset Management application experience.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and schedule electrical maintenance for the assigned location.
  • Have a solid understanding of electrical motor control.

  • Supervise electrical contractors.
