About The Position

Assists in developing and maintaining the eBooks department, including eBooks, eBay, and any other platform through which merchandise is sold digitally. Assists the eBook Manager through maintaining an operation that delivers the reasonable value of listed merchandise. Assists with managing the receipt, distribution, sale, and tracking of all goods sent to the department.

Requirements

  • Must have two years of customer service experience.
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience supervising, coaching, and training employees.
  • Must have an insured vehicle to be used for work-related travel.
  • Must have a cell phone.
  • Must have a valid resident state driver's license with a safe driving record.
  • Must be eligible for a positive outcome on required resident state criminal conviction background check.
  • Must maintain appropriate requirements for legal vehicle operation, including current automobile insurance and license plates.
  • Must maintain compliance with Goodwill's Drug and Alcohol Abuse Policy.
  • Goodwill considers this a safety-sensitive position because it includes tasks or duties that could affect the employee's or others' safety and health.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Requires the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, and percentages.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in developing and implementing a system for selling goods through digital mediums, including eBay, eBooks, and Amazon.
  • Lead employees excellently to meet or exceed targets in revenue, average ticket, sell-through, and any other targets retail leadership sets.
  • Assist in analyzing data to find improvements in the eBooks operation.
  • Ensure excellent customer service is provided to eBooks patrons, including answering questions about the merchandise, promptly processing returns, and quickly and accurately shipping merchandise.
  • Coach and develop employees to meet daily sorting, posting, and shipping goals.
  • Ensure same-day shipping is happening upon payment received.
  • Train employees inside and outside the department to identify merchandise suitable for eBooks.
  • Support in the communication of all retail and production management levels to ensure an efficient, functioning, profitable, and timely eBooks operation.
  • Assist in developing and interpreting reports for other departments and retail staff.
  • Participates in maintaining an efficient and organized work area for the processing, photographing, and shipping of merchandise, including a cataloging system for incoming and outgoing merchandise.
  • Inventory, maintain, order, and keep secure supplies related to eBooks.
  • Support eBooks and eBooks department's management personnel, including coaching, employee relations, and payroll.
  • Assist in the management of supply vendor relationships.
  • Aid in controlling expenses to ensure the department meets the budgeted expense-to-revenue ratio.
  • Assists in managing computer software and training related to that software for eBooks personnel.
  • Work and train the processing team to identify items to sell on eBooks.
  • Follows, enforces, and provides training to ensure all safety rules and regulations are followed. When an incident occurs, complete and submit any necessary forms and reports immediately, but no later than 24 hours.
