About The Position

The SCA Production Control Clerk at Northrop Grumman plays a crucial role in supporting a maintenance program for the Navy E-6 aircraft. This position involves compiling material inventory records, preparing requisitions for materials, and managing production schedules to ensure efficient operations. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of four years of experience working in a highly technical manufacturing/production work environment.
  • Technical skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to obtain a Clearance should the requirement change.

Nice To Haves

  • A&P License
  • E-6B experience
  • Able to obtain/maintain a Top-Secret DoD clearance
  • Experience performing major aircraft modifications
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience authoring, modifying, and auditing work procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies.
  • Charts production using charts, graphs, or pegboards based on statistics compiled for reference by production and management personnel.
  • Prepares written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities.
  • Writes production reports based on data compiled, tabulated, and computed, following prescribed formats.
  • Maintains files of documents used and prepared, compiling detailed production sheets or work tickets for use by production workers.
  • Interfaces with customers and works under limited supervision.
  • Calculates factors such as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates.
  • Compiles and records production data from customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets.
  • Plans, prepares, issues, and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials.
  • Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems.
  • Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations relating to specific portions of the product.
  • Determines the need for tooling and makes recommendations for the design and planning of required tools.
  • Prepares shop work orders for materials and product processing and coordinates with schedulers to ensure that items are being processed according to specifications and time requirements.
  • Determines priorities, lead times, and shop floor schedules.
  • Maintains progress reports, schedules, and other related records.
