The Dynamics 365 Development Lead is responsible for spearheading the digital transformation of one of our largest customers. Additionally, the person in this role will build and lead a client-side development team, ensuring seamless implementation of Dynamics 365 CE & Finance & Supply Chain, Power Platform, Azure, microservices, and third-party applications while driving Agile best practices for iterative development and continuous improvement. Please note this is a 6-9 month contract role.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Customarily has at least 8 years of experience in Dynamics 365 development.
• Expertise in Dynamics 365 CE, Finance & Supply Chain, Power Platform, Azure, and AI automation.
• Strong understanding of API management, microservices, and third-party integrations.
• Experience with Azure services for cloud-based solutions.
• Expertise in test strategy & automation for quality assurance and system reliability.

Nice To Haves

• Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365, Azure, and Power Platform (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Mentor, manage & upskill a high-performing Dynamics 365 development team both on Partner Side & Client side.
• Define team structure, roles, and responsibilities for development team.
• Establish Agile development methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and iterative delivery.
• Establish best practices for DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based deployments.
• Lead the development of Dynamics 365 CE & Finance & Supply Chain solutions.
• Review and validate integration strategies for Power Platform, Azure, ISV solutions, and third-party applications.
• Oversee data migration, automation, and optimization using Dataverse, Power BI, and Fabric.
• Implement AI-driven automation to enhance productivity and business intelligence.
• Develop and execute a test strategy & automation framework for quality assurance.
• Ensure security, compliance, and performance optimization across platforms.
• Lead Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
• Define and track KPIs for Agile delivery, ensuring velocity, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Foster a collaborative development culture with cross-functional teams.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments and iterative releases.
• Ensure regular feedback loops with stakeholders to refine requirements and enhance user adoption.
• Define strategy to onboard skilled developers, architects, and analysts.
• Establish training programs to upskill team members in Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Azure.
• Promote interdepartmental synergy to support agile collaboration.
• Implement code review, testing, and deployment standards for quality assurance.
• Ensure cross-functional collaboration between developers, business analysts, and IT teams.
