Dynamics 365 (D365) Finance Developer
About The Position
HyerTek is a growing federal technology consulting firm delivering secure Microsoft-based enterprise solutions, data analytics, and modernization services to government agencies. With deep expertise across Microsoft Dynamics, Power Platform, Power BI, and secure federal IT delivery, we help agencies modernize mission-critical systems and improve operational performance. We are seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 (D365) Finance Developer to support an immediate, high-priority engagement for a new federal client. The ideal candidate thrives in federal consulting environments, understands the rigor of government financial operations, and enjoys building solutions that improve transparency, controls, and operational efficiency. Location: Candidates based in the Washington, DC metro area are strongly preferred.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Dynamics 365 Finance / F&O development experience
- Strong Power Platform and Power BI experience
- Hands-on ETL and data migration expertise
- Dataverse experience
- Federal client / govcon experience strongly preferred
- Experience supporting financial reporting and ERP modernization
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active Secret clearance strongly preferred
- Active Public Trust accepted; without Secret clearance, Security+ or equivalent IAT-Level II certification must be obtained within 60 days (company-sponsored)
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting budget formulation, obligation tracking, and appropriations reporting
- Familiarity with federal financial compliance standards
- Experience in Azure, Power Platform governance, and Microsoft cloud environments
- Prior experience on federal modernization or ERP transformation projects
Responsibilities
- Configure core Dynamics 365 Finance modules, including: General Ledger Budget Control Project Accounting
- Design and implement D365 form enhancements and Power Apps customizations within the D365 environment
- Lead all data migration, cleansing, and ETL efforts from Excel and related legacy sources into the D365 Finance / Dataverse environment
- Develop, deploy, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports focused on: Budget execution Obligation visibility Fund status reporting Financial trend analytics
- Produce operational reporting outputs, including: Trial balance Budget vs. actuals reporting Dimensional rollups Executive financial summaries
- Partner closely with client stakeholders, program leadership, and internal delivery teams to ensure alignment with mission requirements and compliance standards
- Support testing, deployment, and production readiness activities
