About The Position

LOGISTEED-America is a global leader in Freight Forwarding and Contract Logistics, providing high-quality transportation and logistics services including ocean & air freight transport, contract logistics, customs brokerage, and supply chain management. The Data Team Specialist will be responsible for reviewing and validating data extracted from various documents, such as commercial invoices and packing lists, and ensuring its accurate transference into the Transportation Management System (TMS). This role requires entry-level knowledge of international import transportation, import brokerage procedures, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (Customs), and Participating Government Agency (PGA) requirements, including the clearance process, classification, and valuation. The ideal candidate will possess meticulous attention to detail, adapt quickly to a fast-paced, high-pressure freight forwarding operations environment, and contribute positively to the team's success. The specialist is also expected to provide valuable feedback and suggestions for improving departmental objectives and goals.

Requirements

  • Entry-level knowledge of international import transportation
  • Entry-level knowledge of import brokerage procedures
  • Entry-level knowledge of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (“Customs”) requirements
  • Entry-level knowledge of Participating Government Agency (“PGA”) requirements including the clearance process, classification, and valuation
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, high-pressure freight forwarding operations environment

  • Ability to review and validate data extracted from a variety of documents (including but not limited to a commercial invoice and/or packing list)

  • Minimum 2+ years operational freight forwarding (customs brokerage) experience
  • High school diploma / GED
  • Fluency in English
