This position provides direct technical support to a Pollution Control Monitor, Supervisor & Field Engineer to install, maintain sewage flow monitoring equipment as directed that is used for: Monitoring the sewer collection system, billing surrounding municipalities that utilize City of Atlanta wastewater services, rainfall monitoring and surface water monitoring activities and capacity certification to insure compliance with City, State, and Federal Water Pollution Control Regulations, the First Amended Consent Decree & Contractual wholesale wastewater obligations. This position is a seasoned, technical lead position charged with the responsibility of highly technical monitoring equipment installations and repairs for the Department of Watershed Management, Environmental Monitoring Division. Position acts as a technical lead for entry level employees, advises intermediate supervisors. Areas of responsibility are typically unique within the department. This position also plays a crucial role in the Interjurisdictional flow monitoring program, assisting in billing interjurisdictional customers for their use of Atlanta wastewater treatment facilities. They lead daily tasks for the team. They also design and maintain solar systems in the field, Supervision Received: This position provides direct support to the Pollution Control Monitor Supervisor.
