About The Position
The Sound Cat was a vision that came to life in 2006. The mission to provide top-quality feline healthcare founded The Sound Cat Veterinary Hospital. Beyond the state-of-the-art medical facility, the Sound Cat team provides various feline-only wellness, surgical, diagnostic, and specialty veterinary services. We are AAHA accredited meaning our practice coincides with the highest standards of veterinary medicine. Our hospital is spacious, well maintained, and always equipped to provide patients with the best wellness, diagnostic, and surgical care. Everyday we utilize equipment such as: Digital radiology Ultrasound Full in-house laboratory Surgical suite with laser equipment, anesthesia system, and heating system Dental suite Tonopen and Digital Retinal Imaging Endoscopy and Rhinoscopy Position Purpose Come extern with us! Heartland Veterinary Partners' Externship Program works to provide veterinary students with hands-on experience and mentorship to help have them 'practice ready' by their first day in practice. Externships are typically 2 weeks long and Heartland will cover the cost of lodging if needed. Length of externship is flexible & we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.
Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in an AVMA Accredited Veterinary School
- Must be able to provide student PLIT
