DVM Student Externship - Chippewa Animal Hospital
About The Position
Practice Chippewa Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary hospital in the Dutchtown neighborhood of South St. Louis. The Chippewa team enjoys a collaborative and supportive environment that empowers the doctors to focus on patient care and client communication. We are equipped with electronic records, digital radiography, an in-house laboratory, a therapy laser and more to come! Our clientele is dedicated to providing quality care to their pets and we enjoy a diverse caseload allowing us to pursue interesting workups and surgeries. Position Purpose Come extern with us! Heartland Veterinary Partners' Externship Program works to provide 1st-4th year veterinary students with hands-on experience and mentorship to help have them 'practice ready' by their first day in practice. Externships are typically 2 weeks long and Heartland will cover the cost of lodging if needed. Length of externship is flexible & we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.
Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in an AVMA Accredited Veterinary School
- Must be able to provide student PLIT
