DVERT Advocate (On-Call) Reports to: DVERT Program Supervisor, Director of DVERT Pay Range: $125/$75 stipend per on-call shift plus $12/hour during on-call response Schedule: Varies – 3 permanent on-call shifts/week Location: Varies, must reside in Cincinnati, Ohio Women Helping Women (WHW) serves survivors of gender-based violence including domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking in Adams, Brown, Butler, Clermont, and Hamilton counties. Founded in 1973, WHW has grown into a dynamic, mission-driven nonprofit with over 100 staff members across multiple teams including Prevention and Education, Hospital Advocacy, and Court Advocacy. Our mission is to prevent gender-based violence and to empower all survivors. Position Summary Provides crisis intervention and support, on-scene advocacy, information, and referral to survivors of domestic violence in concert with partnering Law Enforcement Agencies within Hamilton County. This includes telephone, text/chat, written, court, and face-to-face. DVERT operates 365 days a year, 24/7. Works consistently within the mission, vision, and values of the Agency. Respond on scene alongside law enforcement within 25 minutes or less to provide immediate crisis intervention and emotional support. Provide trauma-informed support, validating the survivor’s experience while empowering them to make informed decisions. Serve as a bridge between law enforcement and survivors, ensuring survivors needs and voices are prioritized during the response Complete required documentation accurately and promptly while maintaining survivor confidentiality.
