About The Position

Lead dimensional variation analysis modeling and reporting. Develop full functional variation models the simulate the impact of incoming material and production system variation and behavior. Provide geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) support Support appearance and functional dimensional issue resolution. Support related dimensional control elements (locators, checking fixtures, etc.) as needed. Provide design and process feedback based on model analysis. Lead vehicle program deliverables for DVA team per the manufacturing QOS Lead program management of DVA deliverables Support the integration of stamping simulation responses into body assembly simulation models. Support the implementation of AI techniques in developing solution sets to complex dimensional problems. Established and active employee resource groups

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • Production experience in the manufacture or assembly of vehicle systems (body, trim, and chassis)
  • Experience developing and analyzing GD&T
  • Expertise in developing and analyzing locating strategies for body, trim, and chassis systems
  • Experience performing tolerance analysis simulations using VisVSA (or similar software)
  • Strong Project Management skills and result-oriented mindset
  • Strong verbal & written communication and presentation skills
  • Energetic personality that is eager to learn and solve problems.
  • Expertise in production experience in the manufacture of assembly of vehicle systems (body, trim, chassis)
  • Strong experience developing and analyzing GD&T
  • Expertise in developing and analyzing locating strategies for body, trim, and chassis systems
  • Experience performing tolerance analysis simulations using VisVSA (or similar software)
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in engineering, mathematics or similar.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Background performing finite element analysis (FEA) simulations using Hypermesh, NASTRAN, and LS-DYNA.
