Requirements

• Demonstrated initiative and willingness to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Good writing skills and effective communication with students, parents, and employees.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting intensified learning experiences for students in assigned areas.
• Relieve the teacher of various non-instructional duties.
• Assist the teacher in managing student arrival and departure times.
• Perform supportive tasks for a certified teacher that are primarily non-instructional.
• Help the teacher and students achieve the objectives of the program or activities.
• Maintain discipline in the absence of the teacher.
• Tutor students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning activities.
• Assist in filing, organizing materials for distribution, and recording information.
• Help maintain student records, attendance, and files.
• Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.
