About The Position
Hudson by Avolta is seeking a Duty Free General Manager to lead our team and operations at Boston Logan International Airport. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in managing commercial activities and local relationships to maximize sales and profit. The Duty Free General Manager will promote a brand image of excellence through a strong work ethic, leading by example, and delivering consistent, high-quality customer service. The role requires working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a diverse range of product categories including Beauty Products, High-End Liquor, Tobacco, Cigars, Confectionery, Watches, Jewelry, Accessories, and Luxury Goods. As a Duty Free General Manager, you will oversee a large team of over 150 employees across 8 stores and a Duty Free Warehouse. Your leadership will be crucial in creating a working environment that enhances the customer journey and engagement through service excellence, loyalty programs, clienteling, and other initiatives. You will be expected to provide flexibility to work long or irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, to ensure the smooth operation of the stores. Key accountabilities include managing the shops within the operation to ensure alignment with the company's short- and long-term interests while delivering the highest level of customer service. You will collaborate with the Country General Manager and Regional Manager to set fiscal revenue, expense, and profit goals, as well as inventory levels. Analyzing KPIs to identify issues affecting daily sales and implementing corrective actions will be a critical part of your role. You will also organize and lead weekly and monthly meetings with operations teams, covering various aspects such as sales, promotions, and HR, and prepare action plans based on meeting outcomes. Additionally, you will be responsible for reviewing sales targets by shop, category, and brand, and ensuring cost control within the Terminal/Store Manager's team.
