About The Position

The Manager of The Dunlap Athletic Center is responsible for the strategic planning, operation, and management of the recreational and sport facility on campus and will support the educational, cultural, civic and recreational activities and programming that Saint Vincent provides for its students, staff and surrounding communities.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of leadership in facilities management, athletic administration; previous leadership and exposure to Athletics is preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge with facilities, maintenance, scheduling and personnel management.
  • Knowledge of codes and standards relating to building, fire safety, electrical, plumbing systems, etc. required.
  • Must possess a valid PA driver’s license.
  • Ability to read and write English language.
  • Good communication skills both written and oral.
  • Knowledge of database systems, colleague, Paychex and Microsoft Suite products.
  • Some knowledge of database systems is required.
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., sports management, physical education, recreation management) is typically the minimum requirement, Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and scheduling of The Dunlap Athletic Center.
  • Develop and implement the long-term vision and strategic plans for the facility.
  • Assist in preparation, manage, and monitor the annual operating budget, including expenses for equipment purchases, salaries, travel, and facility upkeep.
  • Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate a diverse staff, including support personnel. This also extends to managing and assisting human resources responsibilities.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as the rules and regulations set by governing bodies like the NCAA or specific athletic conferences.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of all logistics involved with the facilities maintenance and preparation up to and for the Athletic Game-Day operation staff.
  • Assist with special events or work requests as required.
  • Coordinate functions with Events & Conference services as required.
  • Subject to being on-call, work weekends and nights as needed to complete scheduled or emergency work.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
