About The Position

A dump truck driver operates heavy vehicles to transport materials like sand, gravel, asphalt, or debris to and from construction sites or disposal areas. Key responsibilities include conducting daily safety checks (pre/post-trip inspections), loading/unloading materials securely, adhering to traffic laws, and maintaining accurate driving logs.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen with a Negative result.
  • Must be able to complete a post- offer physical with a Capable result
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold
  • Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
  • Clean driving record required to meet insurance standards.
  • Ascend/Descend ladder 8-10 feet to access equipment operating station.
  • Keep equipment moving along specified path to ensure equipment is processing material to required specifications.
  • Remove excess built up material at the end of shift using scraper and shovel, periodically the operator may need to use jack or chipping hammers.
  • May perform other duties as assigned by Forman or Manager.

  • 2 Years of Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operating dump trucks, including end dumps or belly dumps, on public roads and job sites.
  • Hauling materials such as dirt, rock, sand, gravel, and asphalt to specific locations.
  • Ensuring materials are loaded properly and using cabin controls to accurately dump materials.
  • Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including checking oil, gas, water levels, tires, and lights.
  • Keeping accurate, up-to-date daily logs, trip sheets, and maintenance records.
  • Adhering to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Interacting with dispatchers, site foremen, and team members to coordinate schedules and report issues.
