About The Position

Duke Cancer Network has a community Hematology-Oncology physician opportunity at the Scotland Cancer Treatment Center in Laurinburg, NC. Practice Monday-Friday in a 10-treatment chair, hospital-based cancer center. See 12-15 patients a day while you develop a general Hematologist-Oncologist practice with a clinical area of special interest on a well-resourced team. Participate in a call coverage rotation with other Duke Cancer Network physicians as assigned. Join Duke Health colleagues at tumor boards, clinical trials research, and have the opportunity to teach Duke Hematology-Oncology fellows in the clinic. This physician partners with community-based and rotating Duke Health Oncologists, an on-site Duke breast surgeon, APPs, Duke Radiation Oncology, on-site specialty pharmacy and has robust clinical services support. Laurinburg is located in southeastern North Carolina near the South Carolina border just 35 minutes from the golf resort of Pinehurst. Home to nearly 36,000 residents, Laurinburg is an hour and a half from Raleigh, two hours from Charlotte, and close to the beaches of North Carolina. Requirements

  • MD or DO degree.
  • Board certification in Hematology and Oncology.
  • Valid medical license to practice in North Carolina.
  • Experience in a clinical setting.
