About The Position

DUI Evaluator Full-time, non-exempt Hourly Rate: $25- $30 Are you a compassionate professional looking to serve communities in need? ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the DUI Evaluator is responsible for providing Driver’s Risk Education classes and services.

Requirements

  • Must have completed the DUI Certification.
  • Must have knowledge and understandings of the dynamics of DUI.
  • Must speak and write fluently in English and Spanish, and be comfortable providing counseling services in both languages.
  • Knowledge of cultural and social patterns of the population we serve.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including regular evening shifts.
  • Must have above average written and verbal communication skills. Must have great written skills.
  • Knowledge with MS Office Applications.
  • Must have a valid Illinois driver license and willingness to use personal vehicle in course of employment.
  • Must have CADC.
  • Should be familiar with the standardize assessment tools currently used in Illinois in the DUI evaluation process. Specifically the Adult Substance Abuse Use and Driving Survey-Revised for Illinois (ASUDS-RI).
  • Must also have experience completing Updated Evaluations, Investigative reports, Chronological Reports, and Responding to Letter of Denials issued by the Secretary of State.
  • Must have experience in communicating with Secretary of State Hearing Officers in order to effectively assist clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide services at various HAS locations as needed.
  • Attend meetings of community partners as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities and provide monthly/quarterly reports.
  • Maintain professional status.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings.
  • Participate in agency fun-raising efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
