About The Position

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One year of Poker dealer experience required.
  • Thorough knowledge of all Poker games and their operations.

  • Ability to comply with regulatory issues and follow detailed procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including handling volatile situations.
  • Extensive knowledge of casino rules, regulations, and Internal Control Procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows-based software.
  • Ability to learn interaction with CMS and Caesars Rewards systems.
  • Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Poker Room and ensure a friendly, helpful service to guests.
  • Build and retain customer relations while mentoring employees for superior service.
  • Create an inviting atmosphere for guests to choose Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort.
  • Handle customer relations issues beyond staff authority to maintain service standards.
  • Establish and monitor department standards, guidelines, and objectives.
  • Open and close Poker games, monitoring games in progress for efficiency.
  • Ensure game security and compliance with established policies and gaming regulations.
  • Maintain administrative duties such as tracking head counts and generating reports.
  • Document knowledge of department policies and regulatory laws.
  • Check for guest satisfaction and resolve service breakdowns effectively.
  • Participate in personnel actions including interviews, training, and performance reviews.
  • Act as a role model and coach for team members, clearly articulating expectations.
  • Provide game protection by maintaining visual contact with guests and reporting suspicious activity.
  • Promote Caesars Rewards programs and create an atmosphere of luck for guests.
  • Provide outstanding service and a warm farewell to guests.
