Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel Position Description POSITION TITLE: Dual Rate Senior Steward DIVISION: Food and Beverage DEPARTMENTS: Landing Café, Employee Cafeteria, Food Market, Gordon Ramsay, Brew Brothers GRADE/FLSA STATUS: H10/15—Non-Exempt BADGE TYPE/COLOR: Key - Blue REPORTS TO: Supervisor, Steward; Executive Steward SUPERVISES: Steward; Senior Steward JOB SUMMARY: The primary function of the Dual Rate Senior Steward is to assist with and adhere to casino/hotel specifications and standards in operating the dishwashing machine to wash designated restaurant, banquet, and kitchen wares, and clean and maintain kitchen lines and pantry areas. JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (SENIOR STEWARD): Assist the Steward Supervisor and F&B management team in the operations of Restaurants Ensure effective use of labor and manage productivity on an hourly basis Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas and equipment Work on a daily basis to improve stewarding efficiency, organization, and workflow Assist Steward Supervisor with the inventory of all glass, silver, and china Assist in maintaining necessary inventories of kitchen cleaning products and equipment Responsible for washing china, glassware, and silverware, mopping and sweeping floors, and keeping the work area clean and organized Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the floors as directed by the Supervisor Involved in the completion of all daily tasks and duties Maintain all areas for a safe, clean environment based on the Health Department and internal standards Stock all supplies as directed by the Executive Steward and Supervisor Issue maintenance work orders on needed repairs Make routine inspections of stations to ensure proper setup, ample supplies, and cleaning procedures in all areas are being followed Assist with the training of new Team Members Train food and beverage Team Members on chemical safety and proper ware washing procedures Ensure proper maintenance of the dish machine Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner Endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and Values JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (D/R SUPERVISOR): Communicate and enforce company expectations, including the Code of Commitment, policies, procedures, department goals, and business strategy Ensure service recovery activities Train subordinates, providing each with the knowledge, development, and appropriate direction to perform their responsibilities Provide continuous positive coaching for the development Team Members and appropriate corrective action when necessary, in conjunction with the Supervisor Exhibit sound decision-making with an emphasis on motivating the team and maintaining high morale Enforce all appearance and uniform guidelines Other duties as assigned Establish and endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision, and Values
