About The Position

The Dual Enrollment & Early College Coordinator at Cumberland University is responsible for overseeing the university's Dual Enrollment & Early College programs. This includes reviewing academic records to ensure eligibility, managing course registrations, and maintaining communication with various stakeholders such as students, parents, school personnel, and college staff. The role requires collaboration with the Office of the Registrar and involves instructing courses, evaluating transcripts, and ensuring students meet graduation requirements. The coordinator will also conduct orientations and presentations, develop processes to support dual enrollment students, and serve as a liaison between Enrollment Services and Academic Affairs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary oversight of Dual Enrollment & Early College programs.
  • Review academic records to ensure eligibility for programs.
  • Manage Dual Enrollment & Early College course registration.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for students, parents, and school personnel.
  • Assist in compiling semester schedules and inputting them for registration.
  • Create and update forms for faculty and student use.
  • Instruct up to 6 credit hours per semester in Dual Enrollment courses.
  • Establish policies and procedures for registration processing.
  • Evaluate Transfer Transcripts and graduation progress of students.
  • Maintain communication with schools and the community.
  • Provide support to dual enrollment instructors and high school counselors.
  • Conduct orientations and information sessions in high schools and the community.
  • Implement initiatives related to dual enrollment on campus and off-site locations.
  • Communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Serve on University Committees as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
