About The Position

The Dual Enrollment Coordinator is pivotal in facilitating high school students' enrollment and academic success in dual-enrollment college courses at MassArt. As the point of contact for K-12 partners, the coordinator will oversee the day-to-day operations of dual enrollment programs with schools in their portfolio, engaging in student advising and enrollment support, participating in outreach and recruitment, and other duties essential to supporting high school transitions to college.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education or related field required.
  • Two (2) years of experience in student advising, admissions, college success, or related fields with students at the K-12 or post-secondary level.
  • Knowledge of Massachusetts current K-12 high school graduation requirements.
  • Skillful in recruitment strategies based on data, as well as branding and messaging.
  • Demonstrated experience with college access and success.
  • Experience advocating and connecting students to services and resources.
  • Skilled at working with populations from historically marginalized and underrepresented groups experiencing social inequities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to racial/social justice and support of BIPoC communities.
  • Experience with coalition-building and ability to work with a range of faculty, staff, and students.
  • Strong administrative skills with an attention to detail and ability to implement day-to-day program logistics.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high paced environment while remaining flexible.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; ability to articulate mission and goals of program.
  • Positive, constructive, and solution-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to engage work with authenticity, humor, and heart.
  • Proficiency with a full range of computer office applications and functions, including Google Workspace/Suite and Zoom.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in school counseling, education, higher education administration or related degree preferred.
  • School counselor certification or eligibility preferred.
  • Three or more years of experience working in higher education in advising, admissions, college success, or related fields.
  • Previous experience developing and implementing outreach plans and success strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with K-12 partners to promote dual enrollment opportunities and ensure smooth program delivery.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for K-12 partners (such as counselors, teachers, administrators), and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the dual enrollment program, including course and high school teacher approval process, managing student enrollments, course registrations, and verifying eligibility.
  • Maintain accurate and timely student records and documentation and track student progress to ensure they meet program requirements.
  • Manage early alert and other student success interventions for assigned student caseload.
  • Provide academic advising and ongoing support throughout students' dual enrollment experience.
  • Maintain current knowledge of academic, occupational, graduation, transfer, and prerequisite requirements to advise students.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all matters related to the CDEP grant administered by the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education, including submitting required reports, forms, MOUs, and invoices.
  • Contribute to policy development and adherence in alignment with grant parameters.
  • Collaborate with key college stakeholders, including the Civic and Community Engagement Unit (CCEU), Academic Affairs, and Admissions.
  • In collaboration with campus stakeholders, coordinate with pathways related communications and activities such as informational talks, recruitment events, college tours, mentoring, and financial aid information, among others, and create marketing materials as needed.
  • In collaboration with campus stakeholders, develop student success, retention, and completion materials.
