About The Position

Rimland seeks professionals who are detail oriented, accountable, and enjoy mentoring others. You will provide hands-on guidance for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and the many individuals who call Rimland “home”. Some of your responsibilities include: Support the wellbeing of the individuals within Rimland’s programs Monitor, document, and provide feedback on client goals to support the QIDP Department Visit potential new clients to assess their potential fit within the Rimland community Assist with new client orientation by organizing move-in transitions such as procuring bedding, clothing, and hygiene supplies Procure funding for client outings as needed Ensure CILAs are up to Rimland’s safety and care standards Perform random and overnight inspections Conduct monthly evacuation drills Order food as needed Provide training and guidance for DSPs Conduct DSP trainings such as OJT training Evaluate DSPs per Rimland’s Merit Based Pay Standards Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • You must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including booster shot if eligible) & be able to provide acceptable proof.
  • You must have a vehicle for driving to different Rimland locations.
  • You must be currently listed in the Illinois Health Care Worker Registry as a “DD-Aide”.
  • You must maintain this certification and all necessary re-trainings to remain eligible for this position post-hire. This includes AED/CPR/First Aid instructor certifications.
  • Pass a fingerprint criminal background check
  • Pass a child abuse and neglect check
  • Pass a 9-panel drug screen. This tests for: amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cocaine, methadone, methamphetamine, methaqualone, opiates, and PCP).
  • Provide an original document (no photocopies) showing high school completion or high school equivalency. Examples include: High school diploma, GED certificate, college transcript
  • Provide residency for the past 2 years
  • Provide current & original documents that verify your identity & ability to legally work in the United States
  • Provide two verifiable employment references within the last 3 years

Responsibilities

  • Support the wellbeing of the individuals within Rimland’s programs

  • Evaluate DSPs per Rimland’s Merit Based Pay Standards
  • Other duties as assigned
