What Makes This Role Different - Floater Position As a RBT/DSP/Floater, you play a critical role in supporting our homes during call-outs, vacancies, coverage gaps, and increased behavioral needs. Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months of experience providing direct support to persons with developmental disabilities
  • Strong communication skills with a positive, respectful attitude
  • Must pass a health screening and TB test
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as required
  • For RBTs: Active RBT certification (with BCBA supervision)
  • Title 22 requirements also apply: Minimum age of 18 High school diploma or GED CPR and First Aid certification Valid CA Driver’s License with a clean driving record DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance

Responsibilities

  • Support residents with daily living needs (grooming, bathing, hygiene, communication)
  • Assist with medication administration and follow the Seven Rights for verification
  • Supervise residents during community and recreational outings
  • Prepare meals and ensure home cleanliness and sanitation
  • Record data and maintain files in compliance with Title 17, Title 22, and program design
  • Use Nonviolent Crisis Intervention skills to manage challenging behaviors (assaultive, SIB, property destruction, PICA, etc.)
  • Advocate for residents and uphold respectful communication with all parties
  • Attend required trainings and staff meetings
  • Maintain professionalism, safety, and adherence to all regulations
