About The Position
You will contribute by running and maintaining downstream processing equipment with care and precision, helping maximize protein extraction, quality, and safety while working cross-functionally to continuously refine our processes.
Requirements
- Some prior experience in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Knowledge of safe work practices in a facility manufacturing environment.
- Experience in basic technical/mechanical manufacturing.
- Ability to do basic math functions (add/subtract/multiply/divide).
- Must be able to convert standard units of measurement.
- Forklift Certification or the ability to complete certification within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to stand 8 + hours a day, stretch, duck, reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift over 50 lbs.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early morning or evening shifts, as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in chemical processing and automated control systems is a plus.
- Experience in hydroponics/aquaponics is a plus!
Responsibilities
- Assist with running our downstream process equipment on a daily basis to maximize protein extraction, production, and quality.
- Manage process plumbing lineups with hose hard lines and fittings to and from tanks.
- Interact with internal departments such as R&D, Engineering, Product, and Ops as needed to refine processes.
- Assist with maintenance and repairs of equipment, as needed.
- Perform routine operations such as cleaning in place, sanitizing, solution preparation and charging of processing equipment.
- Adhere to GMP/HACCP/OSHA/Food Safety Standards.
- Interaction with vendors for Pilot Plant maintenance/repairs, as needed.
